What Happens When Your Alarm Triggers at 3am?

Without monitoring, an alarm is just a loud noise. With DSS back-to-base monitoring, your alarm triggers a chain of verified human responses: not an automated robot call, but a trained operator who checks the situation and acts within seconds.

We partner with Chubb Security for Grade A1 control room monitoring. The highest standard available in Australia. The same control room that protects major financial institutions protects your home.

Grade A1 means:

Redundant power systems, dual communication paths, fully staffed 24/7/365, and compliance with all Australian monitoring standards. This is the level police and emergency services trust most.

What Our Operators See When Your Alarm Triggers

The moment a signal arrives, our Chubb-operated Grade A1 control room receives a complete picture of your property: zone name, trigger type, time, and your full contact priority list: so response starts in seconds, not minutes.

Dual communication paths
Signal arrives via GPRS 4G and IP simultaneously, so if one fails, the other carries it
Verified alarm protocol
Operators follow a structured verification process before dispatching, reducing false callouts
Named contact priority list
Your contacts are called in order until someone is reached, never skipped, never automated

Common Questions

Do I need a landline for monitoring?

No. All DSS systems use GPRS 4G communication via Permaconn, so your alarm sends signals independently of your home phone or internet connection.

What happens if my power goes out?

Your alarm panel has battery backup. The Chubb control room also receives a "mains fail" signal if your power drops, so operators are aware even before an alarm triggers.

Can I change my contact list?

Yes. Contact us and we will update your nominated contacts and call priority order. We recommend reviewing this list annually or whenever personnel change.

What is the difference between Grade A1 and cheaper monitoring?

Grade A1 is the highest Australian monitoring standard. It requires dual-staffed 24/7 operations, redundant power and communication, and verified response protocols. Cheaper services may use automated diallers or single-path communication.
